Men’s Softball – The men’s softball playoffs will be held Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m., at the Civic Center Complex (3001 17th St.).
Adult Coed Softball – This league’s playoffs will be held Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m., at the Civic Center Complex.
Movie at the Lakefront – November’s movie is Ice Age: Collision Course (rated PG) and it will be shown Nov. 4 starting at
The Bluegrass Jam at PegHorn Nature Park & Trail is set for Nov. 12, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., for people of all ages.
sunset. A family movie is shown at Lakefront Park (1104 Lakeshore Blvd.) every month on a giant inflatable movie screen. Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. This year-round monthly program is free to the community.
Garden Class – An Urban Agriculture Class is set for Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at Peghorn Nature Park and Trail (2101 PegHorn Way) for people ages 14 and up. The class fee is $8 per person and the topic is Natural Pest and Disease Management.
Movie Matinee – November’s movie will be “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” (PG) Nov. 9, at 12:30 p.m., at the St. Cloud Community Center (3101 17th St.). Free movie for people ages 18 and up.
Bluegrass Jam – Bluegrass Jam at PegHorn Nature Park & Trail is set for Nov. 12, from 1 to 3:30 p.m., for people of all ages. This is a free event held the second Saturday of every month and everyone is welcomed and encouraged to bring their instruments, or to just bring a chair and enjoy the music!
Marina Building Banquet Hall Open House – Nov. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. The Banquet Hall is located at 1104 Lakeshore Blvd., on the second floor of the Marina Building. This is the ideal venue for wedding receptions, Sweet 16 and Quinceañera (15th birthday celebration) parties, office functions and more. Stop by to see what’s available and enjoy the spectacular views from any one of the three balconies.
Community Thanksgiving – Everyone is invited to the 25th Annual Community Thanksgiving Celebration Nov. 19, from noon to 2 p.m., at the St. Cloud Community Center. Admission is free, but donations of nonperishable food items for the St. Cloud Community Pantry are welcome. Everyone is invited to bring a covered dish or dessert (in disposable containers) to share with those present.
Day Camp – Three day camps are set for Nov. 21, 22 and 23, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Civic Center. Children ages 5 (enrolled in kindergarten) through 14 years old are invited to take part of each exciting day camp. Cost per day/per child is $20 for Osceola County residents and $30 for non-Osceola County resident. Registration is required.
The Civic Center’s Gym A is closed until further notice due to renovations. Gym B is a designated voting location; it will not be available for recreational activities through Nov. 8. The Chris Lyle Aquatic Center’s holiday hours Nov. 11 and Nov. 25 will be noon to 5 p.m. The center will be closed Nov. 24.
